Frequently Asked Questions

There is no fixed number. Some men come for a short period to understand a specific shift; others stay longer because the work opens into deeper layers. We move at your pace, not a programme’s pace. You will never be held to a timeline, and you will never be rushed.

No. You’re not signing up for a package, a programme, or a commitment. You book one session at a time. You stay for as long as the work feels meaningful and relevant.

Midlife is a common entry point because it’s when the cracks appear — identity shifts, pressure, numbness, the sense that something no longer fits. But the work is not limited to age. Any man who feels the stirrings of change is welcome.

Wolf Path is built specifically for men — their psychology, their patterns, their pressures, their silence, their thresholds. Working with one group allows the work to go deeper, cleaner, and more honestly. It’s not exclusion; it’s clarity of focus.

Yes. All data is handled in line with UK GDPR requirements, and I am ICO‑registered. Your information is protected, confidential, and never shared.

Most men don’t. That’s part of the work. You don’t need the right words — you just need honesty. We start wherever you are, even if all you can say is “I don’t know what’s going on.”

You don’t need experience. You just need willingness. The first session is simply a conversation — steady, grounded, no pressure to perform or reveal everything at once.

Readiness isn’t a feeling — it’s a decision. If something inside you is stirring, pulling, or cracking, that’s usually the sign. You don’t need certainty. You just need curiosity.

Many men fear that if they let go, everything will collapse. But breakdowns rarely happen the way the mind imagines. What actually happens is release — controlled, supported, and grounded. You don’t fall apart; you stop holding yourself in pieces.

Most men hesitate here, and it’s understandable. In Jungian terms, the “inner child” isn’t sentimental — it’s the part of you that learned how to survive long before you had a choice. By around eight years old, most of your emotional blueprint is already set, and those early strategies often shape your adult reactions without your permission.

You won’t be pushed into anything. But real change usually means understanding where your patterns began. Not to blame anyone, and not to dig for pain — simply to see the younger part of you that still influences how you think, feel, and respond today.

We go there only when it becomes useful, and always at your pace.

CBT focuses on thoughts and behaviours. Wolf Path focuses on the deeper patterns beneath them — identity, shadow, emotional inheritance, the parts of yourself you’ve avoided or forgotten. This is not symptom‑management, it’s inner work. It's making the unconscious conscious.

No. Weekly is common because it keeps the work alive, but it’s not required. We set a rhythm that fits your life, your capacity, and the depth of the work you want to do. Some clients come fortnightly or monthly, although weekly is considered optimal for continuity.

You don’t need a neat story. Most men arrive with a feeling, not a narrative — pressure, numbness, anger, confusion, collapse. We start there.

Judgment is the thing men fear most, and the thing they need least. This work is grounded, steady, and human. You bring your truth; I bring presence and clarity. Nothing more.

Many men have. Often because the work stayed on the surface — techniques, coping strategies, worksheets. Wolf Path goes deeper: into the patterns, the shadow, the emotional inheritance. If you’re willing to go inward, the work will meet you.

You don’t need a crisis to begin. You just need the sense that something inside you is shifting. The Wolf Path Way & Gates describe inner thresholds, not age brackets.

Yes. The work is cyclical. Men often pause, live, return, deepen, and continue. There is no penalty, no pressure, no contract.

Yes. Online sessions are available and work well for many men, especially those balancing work, family, and travel. In fact over 95% of appointments are conducted online.

We talk. You tell me what’s happening — or what you think is happening. I ask questions that help us understand where you are in the inner journey. There’s no pressure, no expectation, no need to perform. The first session often feels like a 'purge' of your inner thoughts, and that's ok.

Most men don’t come to therapy with certainty — they come with a feeling that something isn’t working anymore. If you’re noticing pressure, numbness, frustration, or a sense that you’re not living as the man you know you could be, that’s usually the sign. You don’t need a crisis or a clear story. You just need the sense that something inside you is asking for your attention.

Most men begin with a free Discovery Session — a steady, 30‑minute conversation where you can talk through what’s been happening and get a sense of whether this work feels right for you. There’s no pressure, no commitment, and no expectation to have everything figured out. It’s simply the first step on the path.

I hold a BSc Degree in Psychology & Counselling with British Psychology Society accreditation. Alongside this, my work is shaped by years of focused study in men’s mental health, midlife transition, identity work, and depth‑oriented therapeutic approaches. Wolf Path is built on a blend of academic training, lived experience, and a long‑standing commitment to understanding the inner lives of men.
