Scope of Practice

The Wolf Path offers a steady, reflective space for men who want to understand themselves at a deeper psychological level. The work focuses on the inner terrain that most men carry quietly: identity, emotional patterns, midlife shifts, and the internal conflicts that shape how they move through the world.

This is depth‑oriented work. It’s grounded in conversation, reflection, and the gradual uncovering of the themes and patterns that sit beneath the surface. The aim is simple: to help you understand yourself with more clarity, honesty, and psychological steadiness.

Who I Work With

I work with adult men (18+) who want to explore:

  • identity development in adulthood
  • midlife transitions and internal shifts
  • emotional numbness, disconnection, or overwhelm
  • patterns in relationships and behaviour
  • internal conflict, confusion, or a sense of being “split”
  • the unconscious dynamics shaping their sense of self
  • the feeling that something inside no longer aligns

Most men I work with are between 30 and 60, but age isn’t the point.

Readiness for depth work is.

If you want to understand yourself beyond symptoms and surface‑level fixes, this is the right place to begin. You can explore more about this approach in Depth Psychology for Men.

What The Wolf Path is Not

To keep the work clear and safe, it’s important to outline what this practice does not provide:

  • crisis intervention or emergency support
  • diagnosis or clinical assessment
  • treatment for severe mental health conditions
  • short‑term, symptom‑focused interventions
  • behavioural techniques, tasks, or performance strategies
  • coaching, mentoring, or motivational frameworks

This is not a medical or clinical service.

It is a psychologically informed, reflective therapeautic space for men who want to explore their inner world with depth and honesty.

The Nature of the Work

The Wolf Path is:

  • long‑term rather than quick‑fix
  • exploratory rather than prescriptive
  • reflective rather than technique‑driven
  • grounded rather than motivational
  • depth‑oriented rather than solution‑focused

The work moves at a pace that allows for genuine understanding, emotional clarity, and the gradual development of a more coherent and grounded sense of self. You can learn more about the wider approach in The Wolf Path Way.

When This Practice Is Not the Right Fit

The Wolf Path is not suitable for men who:

  • require crisis or urgent intervention
  • are seeking diagnosis or clinical treatment
  • want structured techniques, tasks, or performance goals
  • need short‑term symptom relief
  • are in acute distress or at risk of harm
  • require specialist mental health services

If any of these apply, I will signpost you to appropriate support.

Your Responsibility and Agency

This work is collaborative.

You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, and wellbeing outside of sessions.

The Wolf Path provides a space for exploration and psychological understanding — not direction, instruction, or advice‑giving.

Duty of Care

My duty of care is simple: to offer a safe, steady, and contained and compassionate therapeutic space. If at any point your needs fall outside the scope of this practice, I will discuss this with you and help you find the right support.
